About Us

Oakview Elementary School is a public elementary school serving students in Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade in Apex. The school opened during the 2016–2017 school year as one of four new elementary schools built to support the growing student population in the Wake County Public School System.

Oakview Elementary operates on a traditional school calendar and was designed as a modern, two-story elementary school with a planned capacity of approximately 900 students. The campus was constructed as part of the district’s capital improvement program with a budget of about $26.7 million.

Located at 11500 Holly Springs New Hill Road, the school serves families from Apex and surrounding communities. Oakview focuses on building a strong academic foundation for young learners while creating a supportive environment where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Under the leadership of Principal David Gaudet, Oakview Elementary continues to provide a welcoming learning environment and a commitment to high-quality education for every student.
